Heads May Roll

Home Minister sent home! FM becomes HM, PM becomes FM (also), CM will be NM, XM will be CM, aunt will be uncle, mother will be father, brother will be b-i-l……… anybody can become anybody else, particularly in Indian politics. It makes no difference!
How are our netas chosen?
Sizeable Vote Bank
The eye and ear of the 'high command'.
Obedient (to you know whom)
Will not speak without permission
Will not be very ambitious and so on..
Read the list carefully or carelessly (doesn't matter) and it is obvious at once that qualification, experience, competence, track record etc. are irrelevant for our Netas!
'Horses for courses' are for horses!!
What's the big deal in shuffling Ministers, kicking out a few, replacing some and putting up a show of concern?
ChidambaramAre our Masters even in a position to understand that their old ways are not working?
We cannot have the same old solutions for new problems; problems that are multi dimensional.
Albert Einstein defines insanity thus: Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein again, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."
Its time our Netas understood this simple truism.
Changing a Minister here, sacking a few Ministers here and there, issuing statements are not enough.
What is required is the ability to identify the problem or solicit help and advice from experts to identify the problem, get a professional team in place to find the solution, make them responsible for flawless execution and THEN take all the credit for the positive results!
Why can't each of our major cities have a CEO, a la Rudolph Giuliani? Why can't our Government(s) harness citizen's brain power? money power?
Its appropriate to recall a stanza from Bob Dylan's popular song, Blowin' In The Wind
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
Will the answer reach the ears of our Netas?
