Blodsow is a young artist born in
Kerala who functions out of the
Cholamandal
artists' village. His work revolves around using the medium to create a better
society rather than for the benefit of the individual.
Art truly becomes art when it is the voice of our fragmented society.
Alien - a word that brings unreal images to the mind, of slimy green bodies and large gaping eyes! Real - something we perceive through the senses, what we can touch, feel, see, hear and smell! What happens when the real becomes alien and the alien gets real? Did you ever imagine that the
doctor in whom you trusted your life, is actually giving you the wrong advice so that he could prolong your agony to make more money? Can you believe anyone for what they say anymore? Are we really saying what we mean or doing as we say? Are you sure the
food you eat is not contaminated? Are we ready to accept these aliens as a part of today's reality?
It is only a matter of time before all of us are made to face a reality that we have perceived to be alien!
This is the essence of Blodsow's series of works titled ALIENATION & REALITY.
