The triumph of spirit over matter!
William Wordsworth had rightly said that one impulse from a
vernal wood may teach you more of man, of moral evil and of
good, than all the sages can. A student of Chennai has taught us
that it is the spirit that matters.
Shaliniis a Class X student of the Asan
Memorial Senior Secondary School. On Wednesday morning, she was
on her way to her Exam Centre, a School in Kilpauk to take har
Final Exam. She was riding pillion, with her father on a bike.
It met with an accident She sustained a
fracture on her right leg. She did not want to accompany her
injured father to the Hospital as she feared, she would be late
for her exam. With the assistance of a few bystanders, she went
to her School, where, the teachers, upon finding her in a
serious state, took her to Apollo Hospital, where Ortho Doctors
attended on her.
She went back to her School in an
ambulance with a medical team. She took her exam there, with the
help of a scribe, since her school authorities had obtained the
required permission of the CBSE. Otherwise she would have had to
be taken all the way to Kilpauk.
Yes, We can learn a lot from Shalini. May her
tribe increase.
