Sarath says that Rajnikanth must clarify his apology to the people of Tamilnadu and that the pride of the Tamils has been hurt.

Let's take a step back and view the big picture, for how long has this been an issue? Karnataka has not been giving us (Tamilnadu) water for how many decades?

Rajnikanth apologized for saying what he said on the Hogenakkal issue during the fast.

The apparent claim of actor Sarath kumar that Tamil people and the Tamil film industry felt that Rajni must clarify his apology to the Kannadigas is not playing fair, as first of all, everyone knows that

the superstar is a humble man and does not care for any personal gains. Having said that, I can put to rest the people who might think otherwise.

As to why he apologized, it was simply to protect many people down the production line.

That's probably why he(Rajnikanth) said " I have learnt a lesson". He's probably figured what kind of people he's dealing with when it comes to Karnataka. Long live Tamilnadu.
