Digital Life Style Distributions Pvt Ltd (IDLDPL) has launched a
Pentax digi cam in its popular E-series, Pentax Optio E30, in
India.Named for the easy-to-use line of Pentax compact
digital cameras, the Optio E30 offers 7.1 effective mega pixels
for exceptional high-resolution photography and was displayed
along with the full line of other Pentax products at the
Consumer Electronics (CES) Trade Show in Las Vegas in February
2007.
The Optio E30 features a 3X optical zoom lens
with a focal range covering angles of view equivalent to those
of a 36-108 mm lens in 35 mm format and has a 4X digital zoom
for a maximum of 12X magnification.
The Pentax Optio E30 runs on AA batteries and
is pretty power efficient and is capable of taking up to 200
photos from one set of alkaline batteries or 760 shots on a set
of lithium AA batteries.
It includes a nifty Green mode which
automatically sets the exposure, sensitivity, white balance and
other parameters according to the shooting conditions. Via the
onboard mode palette one can view 15 mode icons on the LCD
monitor (including Landscape, Pet and Food, and more).
The Optio E30 is equipped with a 2.4 inch LCD
monitor and is compatible with the Image Link printing system
which lets you print images without a PC.
The camera supports new SDHC memory cards in
addition to conventional SD memory cards and has 11 MB of
built-in memory.
The E30 records movies at sizes up to 640 480
pixels and its also compatible with PictBridge, DPOF functions,
Exif Print, and PRINT Image Matching III

Optio E30 in India, Surinder Saini, product manager of Pentax
