Mainetti India, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Mainetti Group of Companies, a world leader in designing and
manufacturing superior lifestyle garment hangers, has opened a
new manufacturing unit at Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The Rs 35
crore new facility has a built-up area of 29,000 square feet
over nine acres of land.
The largest amongst all the manufacturing
units of Mainetti India, this facility will support the market
expansion plan of the group for the Indian market. The facility
houses a world class distribution centre for its products as
well as a well-stocked hanger library, displaying the product
ranges Mainetti group manufactures worldwide.
Keeping in mind the environmental depletion
caused by developing companies, the Mainetti plant is
constructed under green standards. The company would be a ‘Save
Energy Zone’ in all aspects of manufacturing; with the
conjunction of amenities (right from roofing to equipment). The
facility also incorporates a water recycling plant within the
premises.
Sanjeev Kumar, regional managing director,
said, “We are delighted to expand our horizon in India. The new
facility is the largest of all the units in India with 50 per
cent increase in designing and warehousing of hangers, as
compared to the present records. Chennai, with the most
business-friendly atmosphere from good technical skill to labour
and market, has always been an eye-catcher for us.”
“The new endeavour of Rs 35 crore is sure to
fulfil our business objectives and currently has the capacity to
produce 300 million hangers a year from its multiple
manufacturing units in Chennai and is expecting 50 per cent
increase in productivity," he further added.
Rajesh Menon, vice-president, Marketing,
Mainetti India, said, “As retailers today aim to fill maximum
merchandising within the space, hangers become a very important
element in the retail industry and more so the Mainetti hangers
because they are designed and developed with precision to carry
the garment in its real form and not just for hanging a
garment.”
He added, “The investments on setting up the
facility are with a vision to reach globally and strengthen our
market presence. We aim to grow and leverage our distribution
capabilities and enhance the supply of innovative apparel –
hanging solutions."
Mainetti group has already captured a major
share of the total retail industry across the globe and looks
forward to mark its presence in the Indian markets too.
Moreover, Mainetti will continue to find innovative services
like Garment on Hanger programme, personalisation feature and
accessories to understand the need of the hour and cater the
best to its customers, Rajesh said.
Looking at the mixed market of India,
Mainetti India plans to address the need of hanger display
across all segments of retailers in the country and is the
one-stop-shop for hangers required for all styles and categories
of garments.
Mainetti’s customer base reads like a who’s
who of the fashion industry from Valentino to Versace, Armani to
Chanel as well as household names such as Carrefour, H&M, Tesco,
Marks and Spencer's and Wal-Mart. The company at present
manufactures over 2,000 distinguished hanger models worldwide.
In India
Shoppers' Stop, Lifestyle, Max, Pantaloon,
Big Bazaar,
Spencer’s and Reliance Mart look up to Mainetti as the most
preferred hanger supplier.
