Students of Creative Colours Art Institute
will hold their 10th annual art exhibition on August 11 & 12,
2007, at A-2, Sea Point Apartments, 41A Beach Road, Kalakshetra
Colony, Chennai-90.
These are works of art rendered in crayons,
pen and ink and watercolours by children in the age group of 7
-14 years.
Kamla
Ravikumar, their art teacher, believes that art, craft and
music are good stress-busters for children who are under great
stress these days to excel academically. She
encourages children to observe Nature around them and take
inspiration from it. They are taught to draw and paint animals
and birds in their habitat, and compose pictures out of them.
The methodology is very structured with an emphasis on improving
drawing skills. Kamla Ravikumar has been
teaching art and craft to children for the past 10 years, and
also to women for the past five years. The
institute also trains plus-two students for entrance exams to
Viscom , NID and other art courses. The
exhibition was inaugurated by D K Hari of Bharathgyan.com. on
August 10 at 6 p.m. The exhibition timings are 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
