College girls vied with one another for the Divas Shine with Nyle
contest. Girls from each college formed their own band of cheerleaders to
encourage the teams from their colleges. Screams rent the air as each
college made its music or dance presentation.
New Nyle, the popular shampoo from Cavinkare, presented the
inter-collegiate competition in which eight women's colleges of Chennai
participated. College students came in huge numbers to cheer their team
to success.
The evening started off on a colourful note
with a fashion show where each team was given the opportunity to
showcase the theme - Nyle & Shine - through costumes, music and
props. The second round consisted of Sizzling
dance performances and the final round provided the teams with a
platform to display their creative talents by singing a creative
Jingle. The contestants were groomed by celebrated choreographer
Sanjay Asrani, who was also one of the judges.
Saumitra Prasad, Marketing Manager, Cavinkare,

them with an opportunity to showcase their talents and Shine
out." Sanjay Asrani trained the participants
in hair care, attitude, styling and ramp walking. Contestants
from SRM Arts and Science, Dr MGR University, Ethiraj College,
Women's Christian College and Anna University were groomed with
tips on dressing, costumes, how to develop an attitude to make
them shine through the crowd. The respected
judges for the event were, apart from Sanjay Asrani, Dev -
choreographer & creative director, Dev's School of Dance, and
Sinthanai, president, Hemlata Enterprises.
The New Nyle Shampoo is enriched with pure
extracts of traditional ingredients such as amla, reetha, tulsi,
shikakai, chamomile, green tea, apricot and aloe vera. Its rich
lather and smooth texture will leave your hair soft and shiny,
Saumitra Prasad said, adding that the shampoo was one of the top
three brands in the country. It was considered a bit weak in the
south but it was expected to catch up with the all-India trend
soon, Saumitra pointed out. CavinKare Pvt Ltd

Women’s Christian College won the Nyle Shine
Diva’s contest, for which they were awarded Rs 15,000 as cash
prize, while SRM College of Arts and Science was the runner-up
for the event. The teams fared exceedingly well in all the three
rounds – Fashion Show, Dance Competition and Nyle Jingle round -
which was much appreciated by the judges. Gift Coupons were
