Poorna, hailed by Vijay as the 'next Asin', is hardly bothered about the fact that her 'Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramaandu' with Bharath not exactly doing a roaring business.It's a kind of a neither-here-nor-there film, which has just about managed to keep the distributors satisfied.
The long line of producers/directors outside Poorna's residence is ample proof of her future in Kollywood.These men are of the view that Poorna's performance was nothing but amazing in the film and that she wasn't to be blamed for the below-par trends of the film so far at the box-office.Poona categorically states to her producers that though she was willing to be clad in all kinds of modern dresses, she can't be cowed into looking and acting 'glamourous'.To drive home her point, she doesn't fail to cite an instance involving Telugu film director and husband of actress Ramya Krishnan, Krishna Vamsi.
When Vamsi offered a role in his next film and said one of the scenes might involve her clad just in a towel and getting into a tight embrace with the hero and rolling over the bed, she simply got up, excused herself and quit the place.When she could have her way with a director of the stature of Vamsi, the producers/directors approaching Poorna for their films might do well to prepare themselves in advance!
Poorna is pinning a lot of hope on her next release 'Kodaikkanal' after the release of which, she insists that her 'star value' is sure to go up.
