Legal issue and Kamal Haasan's films go hand in hand. And now, his next magnum opus Dasavatharam has run into legal trouble with Sri Swami Govinda Ramanuja Dasa of Sri Vaishnava Dharma Samrakshana Samithi moving the court to restrain the producer from releasing the film.

According to him, "sacred name 'Dasavatharam' revered by Hindus particularly Vaishnavites has been sarcastically ridiculed ". The petition also has urged the censors to remove the title of the film and strictly censor the objectionable scenes.

But, as he always producer Oscar Ravichandran is not pertubed and feels Dasavatharam does not show any religion or caste in a bad light. Ravichandran even feels that even an atheist will start believing in God after Dasavadharam.

The film is expected to release on the second week of June.
