 Arun's career is at a lean
phase, his films releasing far and few between. The actor has
not tasted success in the recent past. Coming to the rescue of
Arun, who has now changed his name to Arun Vijay, is Action King
Arjun.
Arjun is producing a film in
which he's taken Arun as the hero. Paired with Arun is Arpitha
from Jaipur. Arpita has done a few films in Telugu and a couple
of music albums. Vandana plays a crucial role.
'Thavam', directed by Shakti
Paramesh (aka Jagan) is the remake of the Telugu hit 'Itlu
Sravani Subramaniam'.
The story centers on two
strangers meeting at a suicide point near a seashore. They share
their thoughts and the reason for attempting suicide, to each
other. But their suicide attempt fails and they part ways. But
fate brings them together after some years.
 The film has Murthy, Vasu
Vikram, Madanbob and Kalairani in the cast. Shot at locations in
Kovalam, Arjun Garden, Pankajam theater, AVM Studio, Reddiar
Bungalow and T R Garden, two of its songs have been picturised
at Chalakudi and Pollachi.
With music composed by D Imman,
the film has cinematography by Ravi, editing by Sai Suresh, art
work by Shri and stunt choreography by Dalapathy Dinesh.
"I feel honoured that Arjun has
taken me as the hero for the film he produces," says Arun. It
may well be a turning point in his career.
