Bharat is going places

Among the younger crop of heroes, if Vishal seems to be topping the list of favourities as an action hero, Bharat too has risen in star status, earning applause as a natural performer in roles that are closer to reality. The actor has been flooded with offers, among them being 'Nepali' and 'Pazhani'. 'Pazhani' is directed by Perarasu who has the two successful Vijay-starrers 'Sivakasi' and 'Thirupachi' under his belt. The film centeres on sibling bonding and it's Khusbhoo who has been roped in to play the older sister to Bharat in the film. The female lead is Kajal Agarwal, a Mumbai import. Bharat's 'Nepali' has him paried with Meera Jasmine.

Three heroes, one movie

Three heroes team up together in the new film 'Aruvadai'. Mamootty, Arjun and Jai Akash come together in a story centered on problems faced by farmers. Sharing frames with them are heroines Sneha and Mamtha with Athul Kulkarni playing a crucial role. Weaved into the script is a murder mystery with Arjun playing a police officer, Jai Akash his junior, and Mamootty the chief of Intelligence Bureau. The film is being made simultaneesly in Malayalam and Tamil. It will be Arjun's first feray into the Malayalam field, and Mamootty's return to the Tamil screen after a long gap. The title in Malayalam is 'Vande Mathram'.

Launching Lekha into Tamil

Lekha Washington is making a foray into Tamil cinema. The popular VJ of SS Music has earned a lot of fans with her charm and unique style. And now the glamorous video jockey enters the scene as an actress in the Tamil film 'Kettavan'. Lekha is paried with Simbu in the film, and would also be sharing frames with Namita who has a crucial relo. 'Kettavan' is scripted by Simbu, and directing it is Nandu who apprenticed under Simbu while he was directing 'Vallavan'.

When Sunder C plays hero...

As a director, he entertained the audience, and now as an actor, too, he has managed to catch audience attention. Sunder C. turned hero with 'Thalainagaram'  which was a fair success at the box office. And with his second film as hero 'Veerappu', too, doing well at the box office, he is a hero much in demand. The director-turned-hero has quite a few films in his kitty, two of them being 'Porukki', and 'Thee'. Paired with him in both the films is Ragini, a model and a winner of a beauty pageant in Malaysia.
