 Dishtv has launched the first-of-its-kind innovation -- Dishtv
on Computer. Launching the scheme in Chennai, V P Krishna Kumar,
deputy vice president, South, Dishtv, said the special set-top
box, when connected to the desktop PC, can alter between
computer and live TV merely at the click of a button.Dishtv
on Computer offers 171 channels, value-added service, active
features, gaming and the like.
Jawahar Goel, managing director, Dishtv, says, "With this
innovation of Dishtv on Computer, Dishtv redefines the
television viewing space."
It offers a dual advantage of
being compatible with computer and television and is extremely
convenient to use. This is specially suitable for corporates for
whom television may not be available, yet allowing them live TV
experience.
The VGA box comes at a price of
Rs 4,150 inclusive of equipment, installation and taxes. It is
now available in select cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore,
Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune, said Sonal Thind, assistant
manager, PR. It is also being distributed through a special
tie-up with TVSE to reach computer and peripheral outlets.
