Going by the craze and affinity people have for their popular VJs , a VJ hunt can easily claim itself as a passport to name, fame and glory. Talking about VJ hunts, Music channels never rest on their laurels and stocks of VJs, but keep popping up with VJ hunt programs which by themselves have become a popular affair with the viewers. And SS Music leads the pack with its innovative VJ hunts and here�s an update on its latest�

The channel had just conducted successfully the biggest and the grandest event of the year � the finals of Mintofresh VJ factor 3. To say that it is just an event is to be way off the mark. SS Music's earlier VJ hunts � VJ factor 1 and VJ factor 2 took the channel to unprecedented heights of popularity and gave definite boost to the channel's image. Both the events attracted thousands of multi-talented, young beautiful faces and unearthed 7 VJs � Paloma, Shyam, Vijay, Gibran, Pooja, Poornima and Shaunak all of them are well established today, with a huge fan following and are even regarded as youth icons.

According to the channel�s Creative Head G V Prakash, the show has got a fabulous response given the fact that the last two VJ hunts produced VJ's who are eminently recognizable faces today. Speaking about the Minto Fresh VJ factor 3, he says "Minto Fresh VJ factor is not just about beautiful faces. It's about spontaneity, wit, a little bit of chutzpah and loads of style. The auditions took place on December 2007 in Chennai followed by the prelims where 10 contestants got selected. They are then put through many grooming sessions before they metamorphose from staid caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, to quote Mr.prakash. And finally the lucky 10 made their appearance on television where they need to win the vote of the public.

The Finals revealed the 3 winners Ashwin Raj an engineering student, Fan-fu-chai, a Chinese student who surprises you with his fluent tamil and Rajeev Kripalani, an upcoming model.
