Vijay TV's "Neeya? Naana?", is a debate cum talk show aiming to get views of people on various social issues. The audiences are divided into two clear sections , one speaking for the topic and one speaking against. Topics and participants are choosen weeks before the shooting takes place. The partcipants, even if in some cases are not vocal , the anchor does full justice to his job by getting them speak their hearts and minds.

The show has a flow and gradually plunges into an hot debate. Like for the episode which had topic of discussion on happiness before and after marriage, opinions of partcipants relating to certain memorable events of their life with their parner, trivial reasons for missing out on their freedom were discussed. With a slow movement into the hard core debate, the anchor gets out those stagnant feelings hidden in the minds of the participants. At times , issues are pressed to an extent that people fall on their emotions and burst out with tears.

In one episode when the topic of discussion was "co-ed colleges Vs gender specific colleges" the pros and cons of studying in anykind of institution was discussed by none other than college goers themselves. The show starts and various people are made to vent their views and some experts with regards to the topic of discussion come to give their views.

There are times when Gopinath takes advantage and ends up hurting and insulting people' views. But that is a rarity! Every particpant is given a fair chance to express their views. The final judgement would be very neutral always. But the points putforth are exemplery and this is ofcourse the voice of public. Vijay TV's "Neeya? Naana?" focusing on socially relevant topics, is becoming increasingly popular. The set has a serious look and at times elements regarding the discussion are brought in. Like various vintage and modern day bikes decorated the set in the bike racing episode.
