Special Programmes : Who wants Duplication

Deepavali, Pongal, Chitirai Thirunaal and a lot more of festivals, will you agree if I say that they are all celebrated the same way? I might not be technically right by saying this but to a large extent if some analysis is drawn then you will quite agree with the fact that it is true. The rituals are different but our time in front of our dear companion; the idiot box is spent almost the same way.

Ever channel spends a lot of time is lining up a sequence of special programmes to woo more and more viewers but somewhere in the line every channel ends up having almost the same kind of programme. There are umpteen movies released for any special occasion and the stars of the movie would spend time giving interview to every channel. Wont the actors get bored answering the same time of questions every time gain? Probably they are used to those questions like explain your character in the movie, why did you choose the role? Etc. etc This pongal was the peeks; Cherans Piravum Sandhipum, Silambarasans Kaalai, Madhavans Vazhthukal, Bharaths Pazhani and not to forget Vikrams Bheema (all talk no show). Fives movies released and each movie was critical analysed by all channels with movie reviews and interview. This leaves the viewer with no urge to see the movie.

Accepted Ultimate star, Ajith doesnt give interviews very often but when he decided to do so, he went overboard raving about his Billas success and his hard worked career to every channel during the New Year. Sun TV, Vijay, Jaya TV all the channels had his interview. The only thing different was the interviewer, even the questions to a large extent where duplications.

If these are one type of programmes, then comes those programmes for the upcoming stars. Those pretty ladies and young gentle men who have just stepped into their film career try their P.R skills to get visibility among public. So these are clearly programmes for the young actors and not audience.

Every channel should understand that TV is the most obvious choice of entertainment for families during holiday. Therefore by providing good unduplicated programmes would definitely help them retain their audience base. Who wants duplication?
