 In
a bid to provide some relief to corporates who live highly
stressful lives chasing deadlines and targets, Vijay TV is
launching a new serial called 'Paadum Office'. Employees of MNC
giants, for example. spend all their energy and time in trying
to meet the expectations of their superiors and peers. For these
employees, Vijay TV presents 'Paadum Office' on November 24,
2007. Airing every Saturday at 7 p.m., this music competition is
the first of its kind on Tamil television.
'Paadum Office' will create a
platform for employees from leading corporate offices to
showcase their singing talent. Leading IT and BPO companies in
Chennai like CTS, TCS, ABN AMRO and Infosys have enrolled
themselves in this music competition.
The competition bears witness
to many outstanding performances from employees in all rungs of
the corporate ladder. One main criteria for the participants is
that they need to be skilled in Carnatic and light music.
Each company will sing in three categories i.e
Carnatic Solo, Light Music Solo and Light Music Group. Apart
from showing the actual competition on stage, the show also has
snippets of the rehearsal sessions backstage.
The show is hosted by Chinmayi, a popular
playback singer, and host Kavitha.
The jury comprises popular musicians like
Rajesh Vaithya, Sowmya, Mathangi, Vinaya and Sangeetha, and
music composer Joshua Sridhar, actor Prassana and playback
singer Krish.
