 The
8th year Samvatsarabhishekam at Chennai Om Sri Skandasramam will be
observed with special homams for three days, from June 23 to 25,
2007.
According to ashram manager P Santhanam, Chennai Om Sri
Skandasramam at Selaiyur, near Tambaram, true to the divine sankalpa
and guidelines of Sadhguru Srimath Santhananda Saraswat Avadoota
Swamigal, has successfully completed eight years of devotional and
spiritual service to the public and the annual date of the eighth
year Samvatsarabjishekam falls on June 25, 2007 (Tamil Sarvajith,
Aani 11, Monday, Dasami thithi, Swathi Star).
The day’s proceedings include, as usual,
abhishekams, alankarams and special archanas for the deities - Sri
Pancha Mukha Herambha Ganapathy, Sri Kamala Siddhi Vinayakar, Sri
Matha Bhuvaneshwari, Sri Samantha Swami, Sri Veera Sarabeshwarar,
Sri Ugra Pratyankira Devi, Sadh Gurunathar, Pancha Mukha Anjaneyer,
Bhagwan Dattatreyar, Swami Ayyappan, Sri Ashta Dasa Bhuja
Mahalakshmi and Sri Sanaicharar.
This year, to highlight the ensuing
mahakumbabishekam (probable date: early 2008, end-January) of Maha
Sudarsana Murthy, Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar and Sri Sahasra Siva Linga
Murthy at the ashram, it is planned to conduct elaborate homams in
our Chandi Yaga Sala, for these three deities with their respective
special moola mantras, for three days on June 23rd, 24th and the
concluding day June 25, as follows:
June 23, SUnday: Sri Sudarsana Asta Mantra
Samputitha Mala Mantra Homam June 24, Monday: Sri Mahalaksmi Moola
Mantra Samputitha Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Mala Mantra Homam June 25,
Tuesday: Sri Sakthi Panchakshara Sri Neelakanta Mala Mantra Homam
"Devotees are welcome to participate in the holy proceedings and
become recipients of the ever-lasting blessings of Sri Matha
Bhuvaneswari and win the grace of Sadhguru Santhananda Swamigal, the
founder of the temple," says Santhanam.
