The
Maha Yagnam, Sri Sudarsana Narasimha Dhanvanthri Samputitha Sri
Lakshmi Narayana Prayoga Brahma Gana Maha Yagnam, 83rd in the
series, will be performed by
Sri V V Sridhar Guruji, glorifying Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, from
December 14 to 23, 2007.
Dwaraka Tirumala, also known as Chinna Tirupathi,
is an ancient, popular pilgrim centre. Sage Dwaraka was said to have
performed rigorous penance at this place and found out Sri
Venkateswara Swami’s swayambu moorthies. On account of this, this
place is called Dwaraka Tirumala.
The place, indicated in Brahma Purana, is also a
popular one. It is situated 40 km from Eluru, near Vijayawada, in
Andhra Pradesh. Two captivating moorthies are enshrined under one
vimana here. It is believed that prayers offered to the smaller
statue of the Lord would lead to moksha and the big form stands for
dharma, artha and kama.
Sridhar Guruji has been blessed with the divine
and cosmic chaya Atharva Veda at a young age. This ancient and
sacred vedic system was entrusted to him verbatim through Guru-Sishya
parampara by his revered masters. It is not a documented one. Guruji
is the only living exponent and custodian of this sacred vedic
system.
The Maha Vidyas can address the imbalances in
nature including human life. Guruji’s mission is praying for
humanity at large. His sublime messages are collective prayer, love,
religious amity, compassion, care, service, mercy and grace. There
is no prejudice for caste, creed or gender. He has performed
innumerable yantra poojas and kalasa poojas for Loka Kalyanam. Sri
Jwala Trust, founded by him, practices these messages.
The Maha Yagnam to be performed in Dwaraka
Tirumala is specifically slated for Loka Kalyanam – for progeny,
health, wealth, business improvement, avoidance of pre-mature
deaths, marital welfare, protection from planetary ill-effects and
all-round success.
Participating men and women are required to
follow the Indian dress code - dhotis for men and sarees for women.
Anyone can participate without distinction of religion, caste, creed
or gender. There will also be annadhanam (Narayana Seva) on all
days.
The Maha Yagnam is akin to the Raja Yagnams of
yore and involves a lot of expenses. Large quantities of samithas,
ghee, herbs, etc., are offered to Agni besides the construction of
huge structures.
Hence, devotees are requested to contribute
generously through cheque/DD favouring Sri Jwala Trust, Chennai.
Income-tax exemption is available to all donors under Section 80-G.
