 With his rising status in Tamil films, it's not surprising that actor Kalabhavan Mani's Malayalam films are being dubbed and released in Tamil. 'Akashathile Paravaigal' is one such film and titled as
'Vasu'.
Mani plays a dog-catcher hired by the villagers to rid their village of the dog menace. Bitten by one of the dogs, Mani's whole behaviour and body-language changes, taking to that of the four-legged animal. It's a show-case for the actor's talent, and in the scenes depicting the transformation from a simple man to the aggressive one, with his dog-like postures, Mani is splendid. Playing the
villain is star-footballer Vijayan. A film quite different from the ones the audience is used to.
