Many people wonder why the price of gold is going up so fast. Before I go into the rational reasons, let me explain the astrological reasons.
Whenever good dasa and bhukthi happen, the price of gold, silver and gems will go up. This is the rule of the great Varahamihira. This comes with the logic that during good times people will have money and this money will be spent on valuable or luxury items.

When someone has money, they first buy property, then gold and then other luxury items. Therefore the current trend of the dasa of Venus with bhukthi of Mercury, the price of gold is bound to increase.
 The question many people ask is how long will this bull run continue? This period is like till the 7th month of 2008. Many pundits want to write it off as a bubble. Every uptrend has correction; this run is going to stay for some time which will defy rational thinking.
The price of gold, hold ur breath, can reach even Rs 10,000. Of course, there will be correction.
Slowly the gold price will stabilise at Rs 10,000 and reach the magical mark of Rs 11,000 in the coming 18 months or closer towards that.
Someone asked me what they should do "either read Thirvuvasakam and remember God and not gold or pester ur spouse or appreciate what u have".
If u are an investor, then it is killer time in gold. Like all things which go up and rarely come down and defy the natural cycle of life, this time also gold will go up.
Of course correction and some short term strategy which will be spouted in media is all crap. U have money, buy the yellow metal without
hestitation.
