The biggest question on the mind of a cricket fan now is who is going to win the World Cup?
Many people start watching the World Cup matches with a favourite team in mind, which gets changed after the team loses. For example, an Indian or Pakistani fan would have his home team as the favourite, but once these teams lose the match, they switch sides.
Many people don't want to choose Australia because they are very good. Heart of hearts, many fans hope some underdog would win the World Cup. Other than their fans, others do not want Australia to win.
The second possibility is Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, West Indies or South Africa. With the West Indies out of the tournament, the possibility narrows down. The teams of Bangladesh and Ireland will be very happy to just reach the finals and many of their fans would be optimistic of these teams winning.
My predictions are as follows:
Australia will reach the finals.
Though this World Cup is a cup of surprises, they will win.
Other teams would play well, but then Australia, for there sheer mastery of the game in all departments, are the best.
They will set a new world record.
