For several reasons, I appreciate Pakistan
ruler Pervez Musharraf. He was one of the key persons instrumental
in the growth of the Taliban. When he realised that the West would
be gunning for anyone behind the 9/11 attack on America, like a
master politician, he turned against the Taliban. Actually, if he
had not turned to the West, they would have waged a war against
Pakistan using India as the base.
On the one hand, he encourages terror attacks
subtly and once in a while subdues the terrorists to get a pat
on the back from the West.
What a game on razor’s edge! How long will it
go on? Will be lose his life?
The great ruler, Napoleon, if I remember
correctly, said, “Destiny has chosen me to rule France.” If you
see the four assassination attempts on Musharraf, it was quite
close a couple of times. He escaped the attempts and it shows
the hands of destiny.
The raid on Lal Masjid had all the ingredients
of Mars. It happened on a Tuesday, Lal means red, Moon was in the
rasi of Mars. There was bloodshed.
