A corner of the sky is quietly filling up. Seven heavenly bodies are getting together, which is an unusual gathering of all the visible planets. Stelliums (groups of three or more planets in a sign) are rare assemblies. So much concentrated energy in such a
small section of the sky not only brings extraordinary potential for growth, but also leads to deviations and disruptions when pre-existing structures aren't strong enough to cope.

The seven planets namely Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Chevvai), Mercury (Budhan), Venus (Shukra), Saturn
(Sani) and Rahu, the north node of the moon will be aligning in one axis and meet in one sign Rishabham (Taurus) on 15th of May 2002. This is an important event because all the planets are on one side of the Zodiac. Even Guru (Jupiter) which is not joining the other planets will be only a little away in the next sign Mithunam (Gemini). Such a gathering had happened in
February 1962 and had triggered changes in the environment, monsoon and human behaviour. Such an alignment also indicates accidents and wars.
Rishabham being the 11th sign from Katakam, India's moon sign, and the 2nd sign from Mithunam, U S A' s moon sign, both these positions are considered malefic by astrologers. Devaluation of the rupee is likely and more emphasis will be laid on investment as a result of the prevailing discontent about the performance of the public sector. Global recession will continue. U S A will play an influential role in the war against terrorism. Mesham being the moon sign of England, ruled by Kuja, may experience severe economic decline as the seven planets configuration occurs in her House of possessions.
When Guru transits to Katakam, we can anticipate political
turmoil in India. Jupiter's transit to Cancer earlier showed remarkable changes in the Indian history with Rajiv Gandhi being assassinated by the terrorists and the then Prime Minister Chandrasekhar resigned. The Saturn-Rahu conjunction also (June-2002 to July-2002) is very detrimental, for during the previous Saturn-Rahu juxtaposition U.S.A was involved in the Gulf war as Iraq invaded Kuwait.
India and the U.S.A may undergo severe difficulties during the months of May thru July, due to the adverse combinations of Mars-Rahu & Saturn-Rahu. Saudi Arabia may also experience political disturbances once Saturn moves into Gemini.
Impact on Individuals
Though the conjunction of six malefic planets (Sun, Moon, Kuja, Budhan, Shani and Rahu) and a single beneficial planet (Shukra) in a single rasi (Rishabham) is detrimental, the impact will not be adverse on individuals. The bearing will be upon the nation. Since Guru (Jupiter) is safely staying away in the neighbouring rasi Mithunam, the arduous effect of the combination is being reduced to a greater extent. Moreover, Guru’s transit to Katakam in June
2002 is already yielding protection against any such combination of harmful planets. Shani (Saturn) takes up the whole malefic effect on himself, thus lessening the adverse impact on individuals.
Remedial procedures are recommended for those who are born on Surya Dasa, Chandra Dasa, Kuja Dasa (Birth star being Krittika, Uttaram, Uthiraadam, Mrigasirisham, Chithirai, Avittam, Rohini, Hastam, Tiruvonam) or those presently undergoing the above mentioned Dasa period and those having Shani in their rasi. No elaborate remedial measures are required. An archana in a temple is sufficient. Participating in yagnas conducted by Vedic scholars to appease Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi will offer protection against any harmful effect.
