Rahu-Kethu Peyarchi
 The Rahu and Kethu
are the two karmic control planets. They are two sensitive points where the Moon's orbit intersects the Sun's orbit. The two planets are malefic and beneficient, depending upon the planet to which they are conjoined.
Rahu is called the giver and the Kethu the taker. In the Vimshottari Dasa system the Rahu has 18 years and Kethu has seven years.
The Rahu and Kethu will be separated exactly by 180 degrees. The karmic planets do not have any observable body. As said above, they are only points on the orbit. The ancient texts do not contain information about the karmic planets. The astronomers have found out the importance of the points.
Rahu and Kethu always move in the reverse direction.
Rahu is the lord of the following asterisms / Star : Ardra, Satabish and Svati
Kethu is the lord of the following asterisms / Star : Aswini, Magha and Moola
Rahu and kethu do not own any of the Zodiac signs but imbibe the qualities of the sign where they are positioned. It is said that the Rahu is the exhibitor of the past sins committed by an individual and the Kethu will seek the remedy as it is the mokshakaraka. Rahu is powerful in Cancer and Scorpio zodiac signs.
 Yogas formed by Rahu and Kethu : There are two yogas formed by the above, one is called Kalasarpa yoga and the other is Kalamitra yoga.
Persons afflicted by Kethu dosham are stricken with fear of dacoity, bad habits, loss of property, loss of face, putra dosham. By praying to Kethu Bhagavan, one can be rid of the dosham. Motcham, sight, property, land, gold, vehicle, fame, wife, children, happiness, unexpected property gains are the beneficial aspects of Kethu
Bhagavan.
This planet is believed to have some effect on aspects relating to knowledge, business, leprosy and poisonous bites.
