Srini: i don't want to act and it is not proper for me to talk about others.

Bensy: When will the music of 'Seethakalyanam' get released. I heard Shyam is singing in it.
Srini: Bensy, no one called Shyam has sung in it. The cassette of 'Seethakalyanam' will be out in a month

Srini: Srinivasan, about Bombay Dreams, I happened to see it in London and it was an amazing experience and I was proud to be associated with
Rahman.

Guest: What according to you is a stronger form of music ?Carnatic or Hindustani?
Srini: Guest, I think both are good in their own ways. For film music, Hindustani is more useful.
Guest: If one wants to take up playback singing as a career, how should one go about it?
Srini: Guest, keep practising and keep knocking at thedoors of music directors.

Srini: Thomas, no albums ready for release at the moment.

Srini: Usha, it makes one's job easier to learn a song

Waynegrad86: What's your opinion of Tamil/Telugu singers who are so well trained in Carnatic music, more than the Bollywood singers, and yet don't shine in Hindi films?
Srini: Waynegrad, it is a question of geography.
Sumi: Who is ur GURU or inspiration?

Bensy: Who is ur favorite music director in Malayalam or u love working with the most?
Srini: Bensy, Sharath, Ravindran and Vidyasagar.
R: Do you sing Carnatic music also?
Srini: R, no, I sing Carnatic music only at home.
Ramoo: Time was when very few new playback singers made it, but today with so many hitting the silver screen, so to speak, has quality suffered?
Srini: Ramoo, certainly not.
Bensy: Have u worked with Ravindran?
Srini: Bensy, yes I have worked with Ravindran.
Srini: I have sung in a film called 'Mizhi Rendilum' recently.
Krithika: Sir, among the songs u've sung, which is ur favourite one?
Srini: Krithika, 'Azhage sugama' from 'Paarthale paravasam'.
Rajagopal: What would u be doing if u were not singing?
Srini: Rajagopal, I would have been selling dyestuffs.
Sanjay: Ur favourite pastime?
Ramoo: TV shows like Paatukku paattu, Raagam sangeetham, have brought lot of talent to the limelight, right?
Srini: Ramoo, sure, sure.
Guest70: How do u rate yourself in Carnatic music?
Srini: Guest70, on a scale of 10, I would rate myself 4.
Sanjay: Can I know the meaning of ur name?
Srini: Sanjay, have you been to Tirupati?
Usha: I happened to hear your Malayalam album yesterday. It was very good.
Srini: Usha, which album?
KARTIK: What was ur childhood dream?
Srini: Karthik, to represent India in cricket.
Raj: Who is ur fav playback singer of today?
Srini: Raj, SPB and Hariharan.
Usha: Though you are such a great singer, you are so humble. That's what makes you different from others.

Srini: Bensy, yeah, I am working for a Malayalam movie called Ivar, having completed 'Seetha Kalyanam' also in Malayalam.
Sureshbala: Sir, which situation made u more uncomfortable when u sing and how did u overcome that?
Srini: Sureshbala, no such tensions, it has always been a pleasure.
Bensy49: Are u workin on any song with A R Rahman?
Sundar: Srinivas, which type of music do u love the most?
Vidhya_here: Do u listen to western music.?? Do u think it has increased in Tamil films these days??? Is it goor or bad?
Srini: Vidhya, I do listen to western music but i prefer our music
Deepa: Do u seriously think AR Rahman's regime is short?
Srini: Deepa, it has been 10 years and i think he has been going strong and he is the first crossover artiste from
Chennai.
Usha: A few days ago I saw your interview in 'Podhigai' and it was great.
Srini: Usha, thanks.
TRISHILA: Sir, have u compose any new songs?
Srini: Trishla, for Malayalam movies.
Karthik: did u have any love affairs during ur college days sir??
Srini: Karthik, Karthik!
Srini: Karthik, don't have affairs in college.

Srini: guest6, Ullam Ketkume, Unakku Pathinettu.., Aha Ethanai Azhagu, etc.
Prince: Srini sir, I am a great fan of urs, I love 'Apple Penne' song from Rojakoottam'.

Usha: How different is it to sing a Tamil song and a Hindi song?
Srini: Usha, not much difference.
Prince: Sir, I happened to listen to one of ur Tamil albums but I forget the name, can u pls tell me the name?
Srini: Prince, Ussele, Ussele and Paarvai are the names of two Tamil albums.
Sreenivas4music: I have heard the song in Paarvai (IMAI THUDIKUM OSAIYE...) lots of times.
Srini: Sreenivas, thanks.
Srini: I really enjoyed doing that song.

Raj: Hi! I luv all ur songs so much, especially the Sotta Sotta song from Taj mahal. What made u change ur career from a chemical engineer to a playback singer?????????
Gvk10018: Tell me what made u to come to the music field?
Guest6: Basically u r an engineer. Does this qualification match ur present profession?
Srini: Guest6, basically I am a singer who did engineering course by accident.
Sureshbala: Sir, is a Carnatic knowledge base essential for a good voice?
Srini: Sureshbala, knowledge of Carnatic music is useful to learn a song fast.
Prince: Sir, do u have any special goals to achieve in music?
Srini: Prince, to be in this field in whatever capacity till I die.
Bobby: What advice would u give to aspiring singers. How do they get a break?
Vidhya_here: Mr. Srinivas...I sing....I am interested to come to the music field...how difficult/ easy is it to enter the music field?
Srini: vidhya, for certain people it is easy and for some it is not.
Srini: but you have to plunge to know.
Usha: I think there is a healthy competiton prevailing now in the music industry.
Guest6: What do u think of Janaki?
Srini: guest6, I hope you are referring to the great S Janaki?
Srini: She is incomparable.
Prince: Sir, do u have any plans to become a music director for Tamil films?
Srini: Prince, if a good offer comes I will take it up.
Bobby: How different are Vidyasagar and A R Rahman in their work?
Srini: Bobby, Rahman records by night and Vidyasagar by day!
Usha: Is it difficult to do a stage show or recording a song in the studio?
Srini: Usha, both are unique in their own way.
Sureshbala: Sir, can you mention a language in which u have not sung so far?
Srini: Sureshbala, Oriya!
Indian: Hi, how are u doing, are you planning any concerts in Dubai?
Srini: Indian, there might be one in August.
Karthik: What are ur future plans regarding music?
Srini: Karthik, I just want to keep singing and doing music
Bobby: When u sing Hindi songs, what do you give special attention?
Srini: Bobby, the expression.

Srini: Sreenivas, I don't know what acting is about and I don't want to know.
TRISHILA: Which do you like more -- to sing or to compose?
Srini: Trishla, both.
Krithika: Sir, ur Ussele was superb. How do u feel when u get such feedback from ur fans?
Srini: Krithika, I feel very happy. That is why we do these albums.

Bobby: Ravindran is the best in Malayalam films. I just love his work. Are u working with him?

Karthik: Which has more influence -- Carnatic music or cine music?
Srini: Karthik, in my songs?
R: Do you like Talat 's songs?
Srini: R, i love Talat's songs.
TRISHILA: Sir, when will u come to Malaysia again?
Srini: Trishla, very soon.
Usha: I don't know the name .it was all written in Malayalam and I couldn't read it.
Srini: Usha, then tell me the name of a song.
Bobby: Hey, pls release the cd of 'Sita kalyanam' soon. I am dying to hear them. How do u rate ur work in it?
Srini: Bobby, even I am dying to hear them in the form of a cassette or CD. I am eagerly awaiting the release.

Srini: Usha, of course not.

Srini: Indian, actually no one was behind me.

R: What sort of exercise do you do daily to have such a melodious voice?
Srini: R, I do yoga.

Srini: Sundar, in Tamil no.
Bobby: I guess Shyam has not got his share of limelight. What do u think?
Srini: Bobby, Shyam the actor or the musician?
KOKILA: Sir, what is the difference between Hindi and Tamil songs?
Srini: Kokila, actually I enjoy singing Hindi songs because they are composed to suit a singer's range. Whereas these days in Tamil songs, they don't look at a singer's range while
composing . And I am not talking about all music directors here.
Srini: There are exceptions, of course.
Prince: Sir, was singing in movies ur lifetime ambition?
Srini: Prince, yes.
Krithika: How did u feel when u sang your first song?
Srini: Krithika, very, very good.
Srini: When you get to sing for different MDs, do you get to add flavour to the basic track? How flexible are today's MDs? For example, if a song is based on Panthuvarali, can you bring in your creativity?
Srini: Srini, certainly whether it is Panthuvarali or any other raga.
Krithika: Among the young singers, till date, whom do u like?
Srini: Krithika, all of them.
KOKILA: Which one is more tough to sing - Hindi or Tamil?
Srini: Kokila, no such thing as tough.
A: Sir, I compose Western music. I have composed many Western songs using black notes and I love ur voice. Can u sing for my composition?
Srini: A, certainly.

Sundar: How was the concert Unity of Light? Any memorable incidents during that function?
Srini: Sundar, it is was one of the most memorable evenings because such things don't come everyday
Krithika: Sir, during ur college days, which song u used to like the most? in which college did u study?
Srini: Krithika, in Trivandrum and Mumbai. I used to sing mostly Kishore's songs.
Katsuko44: I liked all the songs especially Raja ko rani se pyar ho gaya, Dola dola, Ini naanum naanillai,.Indha poonkatru...
Srini: Katsuko, thanks a ton.
GV: Srinivas, in a TV interview, you said you were working as a marketing executive.
Srini: GV, yes.
GV: Then how did u come to this field?
Srini: GV, I had a dream to become a playback singer and worked towards it.
Prince: Sir, what do u think about north Indian singers, I feel they are killing Tamil (Example: Kadhal pisase)
Srini: Prince, YES.
Srini: But I will kill French if I were to sing French songs.
Srini: We Tamilians are fools to call them and give them too many songs. Once in a while it is fun, but it get irritating afterwards.
GV: From whom did you get ur chance?
KOKILA: Sir, can I know ur daughter's name plzzzzz?
Srini: Kokila, Sharanya, Sunanda.

Krithika: Actually, when I asked people why they like u (apart from ur voice), they said you are very humble.

Srini: Usha, you are right.
Krithika: What is the secret of ur voice? Do u take any special care?
Srini: Krithika, no secrets.

Krithika: Sir, I've been learning music for the past 12 yrs. But I don't take care of my voice. I eat ice creams and drink cool drinks. Is that advisable?
Srini: Krithika, as long as you sing in pitch it is ok.
Bobby: No, I am talking about Shyam the music director.
Srini: Bobby, yes Shyam sir was a great music director in Malayalam film industry.
Krithika: Tell me the secret behind ur voice.
