Vaasthu is life
 Planets and stars are not mere celestial bodies for Geetha Saikumar but the very forces which decide one's life. For her, horoscopes and astrology are scientifically proven subjects and she is emphatic that the movement of planets across one's horoscope, charts one's life.
Geetha grew up in a house that believed in horoscope and astrology. Her father and grandfather are great exponents of these subjects. Their interest made her learn about horoscope, numerology and
Vaasthu.
“My father Srinivasa Rao and my grandfather were interested in astrology from their childhood. Many people would come to them with their horoscope, seeking a solution to their problems. I would be with them when they analysed the horoscope and suggested
pariharams. I would be amazed at their vision and predictions. My interest to learn astrology then grew,” Geetha explains. She began learning astrology and numerology from her father at the age of eight.
 She learnt Agasthiyar Josiyam (astrology) first and came to know more about horoscopes through that. Then Geetha came to know that a horoscope was not just a piece of paper but that it can speak about one’s past, present and future. Her eagerness to learn numerology also grew and so she started reading
Chero’s books.
Asked how she diversified into Vaasthu, she said, “After seeing many people’s horoscopes and numerology, I had an urge to read the Mahabharatham. I came to know that the great epic deals with a lot of Vaasthu. The houses built during the Mahabharatham time were built according to Vaasthu. So, this again made me gain more knowledge.”
 According to Geetha, Vaasthu is not just a belief. One has to learn many principles about Vaasthu which have to be applied everywhere, whether it is a temple, house or work spot. If the areas we use most and move around in are built according to Vaasthu, then we will flourish in life, she says.
But she also believes that one’s horoscope and Vaasthu have to be matched. “I’ve seen many people’s horoscopes. They do not have any problems in the horoscopes but life would still be a struggle. So I insist on seeing the horoscope while suggesting Vaasthu remedies for anyone."
 She has also mastered the Chinese Vaasthu - Feng Shui. The most interesting thing is that Geetha imports Feng Shui objects straight from China. There are many such articles in her house which are on sale and which she gifts to her clients.
“My husband Saikumar was not a believer of horoscope, numerology or Vaasthu. But one day he just casually asked if I could look at his horoscope. I suggested some remedial measures after seeing his horoscope, which worked out well for him. Now he is in a good position in a private company and I have an eight-year-old son, Pradeep Kumar.”
Convincing your husband must be the ultimate test for any woman. And Geetha's knowledge seems to have helped her achieve this!
