Bottles are for painting
We have seen
paintings on walls, clothes and on many other items. But have you seen
paintings inside different types of bottles? Here is a person who paints only outside and inside bottles!
Sridhar, a person with a lot of talent, says, "In 1997, when I was studying in class-10, I took part in a painting competition at Chengalpattu. According to the rules of the competition, paintings should be painted on chart papers, but I wanted to do something different. So I took a bottle, brush and paints with me to the venue and painted King Shivaji. I did not win the main prize, I was given special prize by the organisers, seeing my interest in bottle painting. This incident was a turning point in my life."
He painted Thiruvalluvar's potratit by placing 100 bottles in 10 lines, one on top of the other. Seeing this, many people appreciated his effort and motivated him to continue this effort. Sridhar, with his self-confidence boosted, reached higher.

In his pursuit to paint different faces in one bottle, Sridhar painted the faces of 181 world leaders. He got his initial publicity with the help of 'Dina Thanthi', a famous Tamil daily. After this many newspapers, magazines and TV channels wrote about his talent in painting on bottles.
Sridhar's friends presented his paintings on various occasions, and this brought him some money. Also, Sridhar's paintings changed hands. His popularity also grew simultaneously. At the initial stages, Sridhar took a long time to paint the bottles. But now he can complete a painting in just one-and-a-half hours.
Sridhar has other uses for his hands. He has an black belt in Karate and he is also an expert in playing drums. He has been playing drums for various orchestras and he runs an orchestra by name
'Sukravari'.
"I have painted in more than 400 bottles. I wish somebody would come forward to buy my paintings and preserve them," says Sridhar. Speaking about his plans, he states that he wants to paint more and more.
Seeing this young man's sincerity, I feel that the day when his dreams will come true is not far away.
