And how! Young and the old, men and women, boys and girls, women in sarees, salwars, jeans, purdah, men in dhotis, shorts, jeans, trousers, shoe clad feet, chappals, sneakers, bare foot, they all came and wished! They wrote and signed! They spoke in front of camera, they did a jig, they cheered and most importantly they enjoyed every bit.
Are you wondering what's all this about? Well, may be not, since the title is a dead give away!
Yes! we are talking about, thousands of people writing, best wishes for their very own Chennai Super Kings.
When and where did this happen? In our Marina Beach on Sunday evening.
People walking into the beach, were pleasantly surprised to see a huge big vinyl, greeting the Chennai Team and wishing them success. The surprise turned to interest, awe and joy as they noticed that the greeting and the message to the Kings was signed by none other than our beloved CM and other dignitaries.

Chennaionline.com, the leading city portal, had organized this campaign and the officials connected with the portal wanted people from all walks of life to get a chance to wish their favourite team.
Starting with the Head of State (the CM readily agreed), thousands of people who came to the Marina on the Sunday (April 20) they came in cars, autos, buses, 2 wheelers, by walk signed enthusiastically and were thrilled at the opportunity; some of them got a chance to speak for TV, while others are being featured in the portal.
The overall reaction of all the lucky ones who got a chance to sign was, "Wow! Great Idea! Do this more often." "Much like our Chennai boys who will be the IPL Super Kings, this whole thing is SUPER!"
Those of you who were there, write to us what you think/thought about this; those unlucky ones, well....you can still send in your wishes for the Chennai Super Kings thru' wishcsk@chennaionline.com
