There was a mad scramble at about 10 am in the press room @ the Mac stadium, among the media persons. The reason was Dhoni, who the media was waiting for, walked in like the Lion in the CSK logo majestically and easily into the room.

Dhoni got up on stage that was put up for the occasion, smiled and posed, while simultaneously signing autographs for a couple of children who thrust their note books at him. The officials from Chennaionline.com got up on stage and handed over the banner carrying the signatures of the CM of TN, M.Karunanidhi and other dignitaries while they drew Dhoni's attention to the huge banner carrying thousands of signatures that was laid out next to the stage. Dhoni acknowledged the good wishes and thanked the dignitaries and the Chennai public. He also thanked the Chennaionline.com officials for organizing something like this.

In his presence, TNCA big wigs Kasi Viswananthan, VB Chandrasekhar and COL's H.Ramakrishnan wished the team success and put their signature.

Dhoni responded by writing 'thanks a lot' and affixing his sign below the message. The lensmen couldn't have enough of Dhoni. They wanted more. They wanted Dhoni to pose for more fotos, but time was up and Dhoni, ever smiling, left the room to join his team sweating it out there in the field.

On his way out he thanked one and all profusely.

This was a short, sweet function and well organised, thanks in particular to Dr.Baba.
