Chennaionline Golden Lotus award for Radha Burnier

On the occasion of the International Women's Day,Chennionline would confer the Chennaionline Golden Lotus Award on Ms Radha Burnier, President, Theosophical Society at a function on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Dr MGR-Janaki College for Women.

The Award carries a citation and a purse, according to L Ravichandran, Managing Director, Chennaionline. The Award will be presented by Smt. Akhila Srinivasan, Managing Director, Shriram Group. Smt. Latha Rajendran, Secretary and Correspondent, Dr MGR-Janaki College for Women will preside. Dr. Usha Krishnan, Principal of the College and Smt Sowmya, Director Carnatica.com and a renowned vocalist will offer felicitations.

This award will be presented every year to an eminent personality.

The inaugural award is being conferred on Ms Radha Burnier, in recognition of her universal view, which is not conditioned by race or ethnic origin and which, in general, advocates a very considerate and compassionate view of all kinds of life, plant or animal, in recognition of her ceaseless endeavor to form a nucleus of the universal brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color; to encourage the study of comparative religion, philosophy and science; and to investigate the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man and in recognition of her living a life of self-understanding and clear seeing which alone, according to her would open up an ever-new hitherto unknown world of joy and beauty, goodness and blessedness.
