The Man best known for his Sache Revolution and marketing for the masses CK Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director , CavinKare was recently honoured with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2007-2008 by the Rotary Club of Madras. The Award honors Corporate Companies with a challenging measure of corporate responsibility where they are judged not just by the inputs but also by its outcome and the difference they make to the world we live in.

The award is for the exemplary contribution made by Cavin Kare with the philosophy of improving society through business and of providing inclusive employment opportunities for the physically challenged. CavinKare stands for the corporate social responsibility which goes far beyond philanthropy.

Mr. C.K. Ranganathan  is a social entrepreneur, ambitious, and persistent, tackling major social; issues and offering new ideas for wide scale  change. CavinKare's commitment to business, their commitment to economic development, their philosophy of improving society through business and their inclusive employment opportunities for the physically challenged clearly state their corporate social objective and philosophy.

The Awards Ceremony took place at the Taj Connemara on the 20th of May and was well attended by eminent Chennaiites and industry icons. Rtn. Indra Subramanyam, President, RCM welcomed the prestigious guests. Rtn.Indra Subramanyam elucidated that CavinKare originally started by donating Rs.25,000 which has now increased to about Rs.40 million annually.

Mr.C.K.Ranganathan, along with his wife Ms.Thenmozhi, received the award from the President.
