Motosport icon Narain Karthikeyan on Monday had a hearty laugh about he being referred to as ''the fastest Indian in the world.The Speedster was here in the city for launching the Amaron Battery company's new product for two wheelers. Asked about the popular tag, Narain sporting a broad smile quipped ''it's just a tag.'' ''I got it after first winning a race in 2000'', he recalled.

Answering a few questions on his current form and engagements on the track, Narain said it felt good to have won the A1GP in China. ''As a team we had a good season in A1GP in china and Great Britain. But I had a little bit of bad luck suffering an injury in South Africa'', Narain said.

''Our A1GP team's position is better but we must aim to finish on top. We need a little bit of luck'', he observed, adding ''you have to be no 1.'' On his plans of making a return to the F1 track, he said '' I am planning for it. But right now I am concentrating on A1GP.'' Answering on his rappo with another youth icon among sportspersons, cricketer M S Dhoni, Narain said Dhoni also likes speed and bikes. ''We have also done an ad film together'', he added, indicating that it was the reason why they got along well.

Narain, along with Arman Ebrahim and Aditya Patel, is the brand ambassador of Amaron batteries.
