Elections are round the corner and first time voters are sure
excited to cast their vote for the first time! Chennaionline caught up with
a few youngsters on how excited they are to vote for the first time.
Lakshmi Rajan, Student
I
‘am really excited and waiting to vote tomorrow. It is a great feeling to
put forth your opinion which will make an impact over the country itself.
Arvind R, Employee
It
is a wonderful feeling that even my vote counts and it will make a
difference.
Parvati Sasankan, Student
I
would definitely vote if I had an ID. I had applied twice for an ID, but I
still haven’t received one yet as the officials say they have lost my photo
for the card. I’am feeling bad and angry that I ‘am not able to cast this
time.
Denesh Kumar, Employee
I
believe that these elections are the youngster’s way to change the fate of
the future. But I ‘am really worried about the security and safety in our
country. Also assets of India like infrastructure, agriculture, economic
growth, employment opportunities need to be taken care of by an able person.
So it is all in our hands to vote that able person to make this India a
better place to live in.
Mrinalini, Student
I
‘am extremely excited about the fact that I’am voting for the first time. It
makes me feel proud that I’am responsible and I’am taking the first step to
remove those politicians who do not deserve a seat at all. I hope everyone
thinks the same and goes out to exercise their right and responsibility.

Voting
for the first time? Then it’s sure to countenance the excitement of choosing
the right partner. And I’m on the box now. It’s high time the public realize
that casting their vote is going to make an immense dissimilarity and I’m
not giving the slightest space for the misuse of mine. Why should I vote? Is
what youngsters ask. Why shouldn’t you vote? Is what I ask. I’m here to
strongly advocate voting. Where it’s not just exhilaration or elation that
counts but also your conscientiousness which will later be a burden on your
shoulder when you don’t encourage voting. And I simply want hamper less
nation. So will you?
Vaishnavi, Student
The
first thing that hits your mind when you turn 18 is to exercise your power
of voting. It is a great feeling to be a part of it because it is you who
will be deciding your Government. Even though it is a responsibility, these
days it has become a Government holiday for people to take rest at home. One
should choose the best out of the worst candidates.
