Horlicks Wizkids 2008 is back once again in its fifth edition. The inter school literary and cultural fiesta will witness more than 175,000 students from over 1300 schools across 19 Indian cities and 3 countries.
The grand cultural fiesta will be held for two days on July 2 & 3 at Kamaraj Arangam Auditorium, Chennai.
This year, the festival is all set to promote self reliance amongst children through Horlicks' new initiative, 'Badlo Apne Bachpan Ka Size' (i.e. Change to a bigger, better childhood). The initiative is aimed at creating awareness about child rights by empowering students to become self-reliant. However, this time around, instead of two city finalists from each city, a third finalist will also be chosen on the basis of his/her project on child rights. The child rights project winner will stand a chance to win a wild card entry for national finals of Horlicks Wizkids 2008 scheduled to be held in November in Bangalore.
Another unique element of this year's festival is it will make its presence felt in SAARC nations by organising city finals across Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Horlicks Wizkids 2008 is a great opportunity for the students to participate, perform, witness, cheer and educate themselves. It provides a platform to showcase talent beyond academics and encourages team spirit through more than 30 different competitions on diverse subjects such as music, literature, dance, singing, writing, speaking, creativity, talent, art and design.
