A musical evening for a noble cause

musical-eveningSoundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital & Research Institute organized a grand musical fiesta at Nehru Indoor Stadium on 12th October in aid of Justice Ganesan Vijayambigai Medical Trust. It was done to mark the occasion of World Arthritis day which coincides with the silver jubilee year of the renowned medical institution. The proceeds from the event were directed to the cause of treatment for the needy who were affected by Arthritis.

The theme for this year - 'Think Positive' was in sync with the event which definitely induced a lot of hope and encouraged the needy to stay positive and look forward to a pain free tomorrow.

A host of renowned performers took centre stage and captivated the audience with the magic that they created with their vocal chords. Suchitra, Rahul Nambiar, Naveen Madhav, Ranjith, Belly Raj and Deepa Mariam entertained the audience with the Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra churning out rhythm and beats to add color to the singer's melodies.

The evening also witnessed standup comedian Michael Augustine who had everyone in splits with his trademark brilliance. Minister for Electricity, Mr. Arcot. N. Veerasamy presided over the function and extended his support to the cause. The whole SAROJA team, actress Sneha, Director Ramesh Krishna, Shiny Wilson, Ex-Indian Hockey captain, V. Bhaskaran and a host of other renowned personalities had all joined hands to support this cause.

The show was hosted and orchestrated by Actress Swarnamalya who kept the audience captivated with her brilliant stage presence.
