As soon as we alight at the railway station we are swarmed by autowallahs to take us to our destinations. They have fixed rates according to the distance. People who commuting daily need not worry about the fare but the outsiders who have no inkling about the fare whatsoever are fleeced snarled.

The number of Auto Stands have increased manifold. Almost every street corner is decorated with cluster of autos. Some of them are interested in commuting inside the area while others reluctantly agree to drive to the city but the fare that they demand is exorbitant. Even is there is an emergency they do not comply to go out of this place. They rather sit tightly tied to the seats or gossip than go on a Savari-trip in local parlance.

I remember an old lady had to run pillar to post in search of autos to take her to the city.

She had to visit the doctor and not a single agreed to take her. When she bumped into a city auto which was whizzing past she at once engaged him to take her to the city. But the merciless local drivers did not allow him to take the passenger as he had no right to do so. Finally that lady had to seek the help of the Call taxi and drove to the city.

The auto drivers fail to keep up their words and time. Though we engage them well in advance they fail to turn up putting the restless passengers in the lurch. They have assumed an iconic status because of the lack of proper bus facilities. Some of them are belligerent and hurl abuses on the passengers for no rhyme or reason. We are unable to fathom their thoughts.

To put an end to their tyrannical rule Share autos should be introduced to bring the down to earth. We are looking forward to travel in SHARE AUTOS atleast then the they would comprehend the reality.
