With the monsoon playing truant this year Nanganallur is reeling under tremendous water scarcity.

What has the municipality done to ease the water crisis is a million dollar question . Is it not their duty to alleviate this situation? There are several means to provide water to the starved residents.

The concerned authorities should provide water taps at the street corners at the outset.. The famous Kuzhai-adi which conjures up images of Kuzhai- adi sandai that rock every area should be installed first. Excepting a few street corners the municipality has not provided water taps.

Though we pay water tax regularly the promptness in found only in tax collection not in water supply. Even the Neer Exnora which has promised water has not taken any concrete step so far.Many resident who have palar connection are Blessed with Palar water only twice a week. Even that routine is disturbed some times. You are aware that the water bodies surrounding Chennai have copious water that will last for some time.

Is there any rule that only city dwellers should get daily water supply? Are we sinners? Water is not for the chosen few. Our interaction with the concerned authorities regarding this matter is of no use.

What is their approach to quench our thirst is a matter of conjecture. The only hope Is the rain which is eluding us.
