Sometimes personal issues are also effectively counseled by these young lecturers.
In fact womens colleges have more number young lecturers than other co-education institutions. Questions like the capability of such a person to handle a class arise now and then, but not to deny the fact that colleges mostly recruit their passed out students as fresher lecturer. Student who has excelled in academics!
There is a lot of difference in the way an experienced doctorate person handles a subject and a fresher or meagerly experienced lecturer handling a subject. The quality, and the in depth knowledge of subject with the ability to clarify doubts before put forth in class comes with experience. But the way the knowledge is imparted with a mix of real life incidents and quoting their college days are something which reaches students much easier than hard core classes.
Subjects under the purview of media, commerce are few to quote. These young lecturers are most often temporary staff of any college. The colleges are more like a transit period for them to concentrate on their M.Phil or other higher studies. This means will help them stay in touch with their subject.
The most important point is that these teachers should always bear in mind that they have the noble responsibility of educating the students and should do full justice to their profession and to those students who blind-foldedly believe what is said in class!
