Instant Food!

AT o cook an exotic food would be equivalent to spending few in a furnace (read kitchen). Cooking may not allure everyone but there are very few people in the whole world who are not tempted by the taste of great food. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach goes the adage... Well for today's women the distance is very less... In matter of few minutes the most difficult dishes can be prepared without messing the kitchen and having a best taste.

Instant food, cooking was never so much easy. Pre cooked food with authentic ingredients can be brought to platter in a matter of few minutes. Having roots with just the retail availability of ground masalas like Rasam powder, sambar mix, puliogare today even dishes with recipe running few pages are made easy. Dhoklas, Rava Idlis, Medu Vada are certain dishes which not only take long hours of preparation before cooking but also very difficult to get the right taste.

With the super markets stacking more than few brands of Instant food, shopping becomes all the more fun. "Instant food is a savior for me. Unexpected guests at home, all I have to do is to cook rice and boil a sachet of side dish" says Poornima.

"Few years ago, mothers used to pack food which does not perish for long hours during travel. Today when my son heads for a tour what I do is just buy few packets of instant food mix. All he has to do is dip the pack in hot boiling water and after few minutes his meal is ready" says Shantha, house wife.

Considered as a mandatory item in a bachelor's kitchen, instant food or ready to eat food also has a lot of worries. The food has a lot of preservatives added to it. Having this kind of food on a regular basis might be harmful. Another area of concern is the content inside the packet. There is always a clear instruction in all the packets, not to buy if the pack is opened.

Satisfying the urge of tasting an unusual dish should not leave a person with unusual stomach upset and stomach related illness. And it is always better to resort to this type of cooking only when there is real need of change or when you are fighting against time.
