SSI Technologies Attains CMMI-SW Level 5

SSI Technologies, the consulting and software services division of SSI Ltd.., has been appraised at Level 5 of the Capability Maturity Model Integrated for Software Engineering, Version 1.1, Staged Representation (CMMI-SW, V1.1, Staged).

The appraisal was jointly performed by QAI India and SSI Technologies. SSI Technologies is an authorized provider of SCAMPI (Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement) services under the Transition Partner program of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Carnegie Mellon University, USA. QAI India provided the external perspective and participated as an appraisal team member.

The appraisal covered all SSI Technologies development centers in India across all domains, practices, and life cycles. In being appraised at Level 5, SSI Technologies has benchmarked the quality of its processes and services with the best in the world.

The CMMI-SW, developed by the SEI, is a model for judging the maturity of the software processes of an organization on an ascending scale of 1 to 5. SSI Technologies' Transition Partnership with SEI and this appraisal provides fresh impetus to its Process and QA consulting services.
