The British Council’s international programme, Darwin Now, will be exhibiting the life and work of Charles Darwin from the 7th November – 28th November 2009. Darwin Now marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book ‘On the Origin of Species’.

Krupa, an NGO run by Mr H Ramakrishnan, with grants from Rotary Club of Normal, Illinois and matching grant from Rotary Club of ChennaI, Midcity, distributed tricycles to polio victims on Oct 22nd. This short function was Presided over by Mayor of Chennai Sri Subramaniam, who
handed over the tricycles to 2 of 59 beneficiaries.
