A luscious heart that deathless breathes Bharat,
And has grown love's roses on her soil,
Whose blossoms bear hues of fadeless faith
And fragrant teems to fling a scented spell -
You can smile and smile and not be a villain,
Your word omnific rings harmony's reign -
In mesmeric idiom of bardic vision.
All din to drown your grace ends in vain -
No devil has cursed you with a seething spleen,
Your tongue's dart at unjust dissents in the House
No foes ever spawns whose piffling self preening
Buckles to your sedate skill of countering grace
And let your Muse in melodic lilt tilt
Our globe towards a warless one peace-lit.
