The Last Day in Paris

Delayed at a wonderful birthday dinner on the last
evening, too late at the railway station and almost out of money, it is a time of crisis.
But it is resolved, thanks to the culture, hospitality and helpfulness of the Parisians,
qualities that draw a visitor strongly to come again.

Paris offers a feast of art, of architecture, of
history, and a beauty of ambience that is almost overwhelming. There is so much to be
seen, so much to be experienced. And to top it off, an unexpected gesture of hospitality
at one of the pavement cafes the city is famous for.
From Calais to

They advised us to buy a pack of Metro (Paris
underground train) tickets at Paris station. A pack of ten tickets cost 20 francs, each
ticket valid for a journey to any destination around the town.
