Everest
Under your melting mood the two could break
The ice and sole it over your crazy crown.
When you did thaw suddenly for their sake,
They earned their labour's dews in white and brown
Colours. Has your halo then been undone?
It's only your assent to their ascent.
Not sure crestfallen despite the guerdon
Are you? and not with any new accent,
Your grace descends but that your love unfolds
Every mystic sheath of your Majesty,
Undraping each tone of fabulous folds.
This is your simple cool veracity.
Love spangled peak of rarest eminence,
None can freeze your flair for ice canyons.
