Kanyakumari
The pilgrim seas have reached the feet at last,
Roaring and rolling briny miles along,
And in ablution of awe bow their crest,
Blending bosoms in subdued surf of song,
And crooning on the same wave-length renege
All hubris to bide in the main supreme.
Their foamy flash of joy on rocks that bulge
Flings their inner bliss in jets of gleam.
Only the shore is spared, all else surges
Into ocean water and blue expanse
Dawn's orb reddens in throes of rising urge
And drowns our soul in flaming rose of trance.
While the purple dip of eve wheels the globe,
The earth changing gear fuels her fresh prologue.
