The Late Maharajapuram Santhanam
Praise the Lord they say and you did it.
No ringing ritual it was to blandish
Him, but trancing hosannas that had lit
Souls; cadences that were caught from the lush
Hush of melodic core in plenty
Burst of fervour. But He who sits above
Fate, must have sensed your epliogue gory.
Sticker pure for karmic canons sans love
That transcends all laws and their transgression.
And He chose to sit on the fence and smile.
Your breath time-framed in macabre session
Was blown away on macadam's trail
In a concert of discordant Destiny.
Orphaned, music lay in noteless agony.
