Family planning and birth
More than two is a crime against the book
Of genesis; and the muffling code
Of Malthus made no difference to the book.
Dunlop's dialectics is a flimsy mode.
And pills probe only with oral optics
The book of genes. But the sheen of the knife
Has an edge over other aids and clicks
Pricking for all the means to end the strife.
This prizing gospel for storey or slum
Waters not the soil of our farm.
Planners now make our family album
That ought to be nuclear in size and form.
Trailing blood of Caesar do all we come
Scalpel-stained from theatres, our home.
