On Sri Ramakrishna
An immaculate light of radiance
You arrived, the hour of Gadadhar
Beamed and the righteous role in abeyance
Found in you the titular titan - a dower,
When a ritual faith in exclusive pride.
Was the vogue blind to the depth of its spirit.
Clinging to its shallow empty surface hide;
While rebel souls raring to cleanse with spirit
The creed accretions of ills broke idols
Unaware of the new icon ersartz
They planted in their new reformist roles
It was then you came breathing in a waltz
Divine, love incarnate upborne by joy
Embosoming the world's faiths sans alloy.
