A two-day seminar on `Water
Management in South India` will be held in Puducherry on November 30
and December 1 to deliberate on the ecological, social, economic,
cultural and political implications in the management of water in
south India.
The French Institute of Puducherry
is holding the seminar in association with the Pondicherry
University and the Chennai-based Madras Institute of Development
Studies and the focus would be on "spatial dimension of the
stake-holders."
An institute source said the director of the
institute, J P Muller, would inaugurate the seminar which would be
held in Pondicherry University.
Dr S Jayachandran, dean of the School of Life
Sciences in the university will preside. (Agencies).
